While I was
off laying on the beach my Dad finished spraying the Chief. He added several
extra coats to the hood. We ended up with 1.5 gallons of paint on this sheetmetal
beast. This included one coat on the inside. The inside will eventually be covered
with fabric or something so we just wanted to cover the ugly. We had lots of
trouble with trash in the paint. My Dad even found a peice of plastic at the
bottom of the 1st can of paint. No love for the paint supplyer. I will have
to do some serious buffing soon.
I have to wait almost 2 weeks to finish putting the Chief
back together. Then I will add more pix with all the chrome.
